Step 1: Choose the Right Course for You

Aurora offers courses for all levels and goals. Choosing the right one ensures you make the most progress in the shortest time.

Our Courses:

1. General English (GE) – Everyday communication, speaking, listening, reading, writing. Ideal for Beginner to Advanced learners.
2. Intensive English (IE) – Extra lessons for faster progress, focused on fluency and accuracy. Perfect if you want to reach your goal quickly.
3. Business Plus (BP) – Improve your General English while also improving your business communication skills. Ideal for lower levels like B1
4. Business English (BE) – Professional communication skills, writing reports, emails, and presentations. Designed for students and professionals entering the workplace.
5. Exam Preparation (IELTS / TOEFL / PTE) – Prepare for international exams with mock tests, strategies, and feedback.
6. University Pathway Course – Academic English for students planning to continue at Cornerstone Institute. Includes essay writing, research skills, and presentations.

Tips to Choose Your Course

• Beginner / Low-level English: Start with General English.
• Limited time / Need rapid improvement: Intensive English is recommended.
• Professional goals / Career development: Business Plus and Business English enhances employability.
• University admission / visa requirements: Exam Preparation or Pathway Courses are ideal.

Step 2: Check Course Requirements & Start Dates

• Courses available for all levels from beginner to advanced
• Flexible start dates every Monday of the year
• Course duration from 1 week up to 48 weeks
• Age: 17+ years

Tip: Longer courses give you more opportunities to improve and experience student life in Cape Town.

Step 3: Prepare Your Documents

For most students, we require:

• Completed application form
• Copy of passport
• Payment for tuition or deposit (bank transfer, card payment accepted)
• Visa documents for long-term courses

Aurora staff can guide you through the visa process and provide letters of enrolment for your application.

Step 4: Submit Your Application

You can apply online, via email, or in person:

Online Application:

1. Fill in the Aurora application form on our website
2. Upload required documents
3. Pay deposit (optional for provisional enrolment)

Email Application:
Send scanned copies of your documents to studentsupport@auroralanuagecentre.co.za 

In-Person:
Visit our Cape Town centre for guidance and on-the-spot placement testing.

Step 5: Placement & Orientation

Once your application is received:

1. Placement Test: Helps us assess your level and place you in the right class.
2. Orientation Day: Learn about the school, meet teachers and classmates, get your timetable, and attend a safety briefing.
3. Student Support: Aurora provides help with accommodation, SIM cards, banking, transport, and city guidance.

Step 6: Start Learning!

Your first day includes:

• Introduction to your teacher and classmates
• Classroom tour and schedule overview
• English immersion activities
• Guidance on using Aurora resources (library, online tools, extra-curricular clubs)
